BOMIS Pampore Archers Shine at National Field Archery Championship, Win 10 Medals

Pampore, J&K: Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS), Pampore, brought laurels to Jammu & Kashmir with an exceptional performance at the National Field Archery Championship, held in Mumbai, Maharashtra, from January 22 to 26, 2026. Competing against top young talent from across the country, the school’s archers secured an impressive 10 medals – including 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 8 Bronze.

The standout performer of the championship was Ziya Waseem, who clinched the Gold Medal in the Under-7 category with a phenomenal score of 389 out of 440 arrows, the highest score recorded in the entire tournament. Adding to the achievement, she emerged as the youngest gold medalist of the championship.

In another notable performance, Zaara Waseem earned the Silver Medal in the Under-10 category, displaying remarkable consistency and skill.

The Under-10 category also saw strong performances from Hoorain Ferooz Bhat, Ajwa Abid, Yameen Ganai, and Urwa Shakir, all of whom won Bronze Medals. Continuing the medal streak, Alina Jawid, Anam Showkat, Seerat Zehra, and Faris Shameem secured Bronze Medals in the Under-14 category.
