Srinagar, Feb 3: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted a high-level committee for examination, consolidation and submission of project proposals under the SASCI additional allocation related to Disaster Management.
As per Government Order No. 146-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated February 3, 2026, issued by the General Administration Department, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the committee will scrutinise projects submitted by various departments against the additional allocation earmarked by the Government of India for the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction.
The committee will be chaired by the Administrative Secretary, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction. Other members include Director General (Budget), Finance Department; Director General (Resources), Finance Department; a representative from the Revenue Department not below the rank of Special Secretary; and a representative from the Public Works Department not below the rank of Special Secretary.
According to the order, the committee has been tasked with examining departmental proposals to ensure they align with the objectives of the additional allocation. It will also prioritise projects before forwarding them to the Finance Department for onward submission to the Government of India through the PFMS Portal for approval. (KNC)
