Srinagar, Apr 9: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding Northern Command, reviewed the Counter-Terrorism Grid in South Kashmir, where he was briefed on the prevailing security scenario and operational preparedness of troops in the region.
During the review, the Army Commander emphasised the importance of synergy, adaptability, precision, and sustained vigilance as key elements for successful intelligence-driven operations and rapid response to emerging challenges.
He interacted with the troops on ground, appreciating their indomitable spirit, dedication, and commitment towards ensuring the security of the nation.
The review focused on enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening coordination among various units engaged in counter-terrorism operations.
Lt Gen Sharma also highlighted the critical role of intelligence and technology in pre-empting threats and maintaining a proactive security posture in sensitive areas.
The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army’s focus on maintaining constant readiness and ensuring the safety and security of the people in South Kashmir. (KNC)
