Anantnag, Apr 12: The Deputy Commissioner Anantnag has informed that digitised Jamabandi records are being made available online to ensure transparency and ease of access for the general public.
According to the notice, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the Revenue Department has launched an online portal where digitised Jamabandis of all villages are being uploaded by concerned field functionaries. People have been advised to visit the portal and verify details related to their land holdings.
In case of any discrepancy or grievance, the public can submit objections either through the online portal or at the concerned Revenue Office against proper receipt, the notice said. It also clarified that manual Jamabandi records at Patwar Halqas will continue to remain available for inspection as per existing procedures.
The administration has directed all SDMs, Tehsildars and field staff to ensure wide publicity of the initiative through public announcements, notice boards and media to encourage maximum public participation. (KNC)
