Shopian, April 21: In a strong message against substance abuse, the Chemist and Druggists Association Zainapora on Tuesday organized a rally under the Nasha Mukht Abhiyan, highlighting the harmful effects of drugs on individuals and society.
The rally witnessed active participation from students of Degree College Zainapora, who joined hands with civil society members to spread awareness about the growing menace of drug addiction. The event was attended by Principal of Degree College Zainapora, SDM Zainapora Bilal Ahmad, SDPO Zainapora Athar Samad, Tehsildar Zainapora, Naib Tehsildar Zainapora, and other officials.
Carrying placards and raising slogans against drug abuse, participants emphasized the need for collective efforts to eradicate the menace from society. Speakers on the occasion underlined the devastating impact of drugs on youth and urged parents, teachers, and community leaders to play a proactive role in prevention.
The participants resolved to work together towards building a drug-free society and called for sustained awareness campaigns and strict measures to curb drug trafficking and abuse in the region.
The rally concluded with a pledge by all attendees to actively contribute to the Nasha Mukht Abhiyan and safeguard the future of the younger generation.
