Srinagar, May 23: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference President Sajjad Lone on Saturday accused the government of backtracking on its promise of creating one lakh jobs for youth, alleging that the administration has instead imposed restrictions on creation of new posts.
In a post on X, Lone said the government had promised large-scale employment opportunities in its manifesto but has now “banned the creation of new posts,” calling the move a betrayal of unemployed youth.
He further claimed that posts lying vacant for over two years would also be surrendered, terming the decision detrimental to job aspirants across Jammu and Kashmir.
Lone launched a sharp attack on the government, alleging that it had failed to fulfill its commitments and accusing it of misleading the public on employment promises.(KNC)
