QAZIGUND,10th June : A complaint has been lodged against the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Qazigund, alleging irregularities in the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) procurement process and alleged billing discrepancies.
According to sources, the complaint accuses the official of allegedly bypassing standard procurement protocols on the GeM portal to favor specific vendors, thereby compromising transparency and fair competition. Furthermore, the complaint alleges discrepancies in financial documentation, including alleged improper and inflated billing for departmental supplies and services.
Nationvoice101 has obtained a copy of the complaint filed against the CDPO Qazigund. While the complaint was initially submitted to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Anantnag, the DC has directed the Programme Officer of ICDS Anantnag to verify the matter in light of the allegations raised.
Official sources stated that higher authorities have taken note of the issue, and a formal inquiry is expected to be initiated soon to investigate the matter thoroughly.
Meanwhile, Nationvoice101 attempted to reach out to the CDPO Qazigund for clarification, but the official did not respond to repeated phone calls till the filing of this report.
