Jammu, Jan 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Finance Department has authorised the release of additional funds under the Revenue Budget for the financial year 2025–26 in favour of all government departments, officials said.
According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Budget Division of the Finance Department as per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), the authorization has been accorded in continuation of Government Order No.119-F of 2025 dated April 9, 2025. The funds have been released as per re-worked Revised Estimates (RE) 2025–26, including additional allocations.
The memorandum states that further funds have been authorised under several major heads, including salary, honorarium and remuneration, stipend and scholarship, diet expenses, wages (outsourcing), pensionary charges under NPS, leave encashment and electricity charges.
Order clarified that utilisation of the authorised funds will be strictly governed by the conditions already laid down in Government Order No.119-F of 2025.
It was further mentioned that the additional funds released over and above the Budget Estimates (BE) 2025–26 will be placed before the Legislative Assembly for approval through supplementary grants at an appropriate stage.
The Finance Department also noted that release of funds under other heads will be examined separately on a case-to-case basis. (KNC)
