Apple is reportedly working on a major overhaul of Siri, transforming the voice assistant into a full-fledged AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT, according to Bloomberg.
The project, internally codenamed “Campos”, is expected to replace Siri’s current interface with a conversational AI system powered by Google’s Gemini models. The revamped Siri is likely to be integrated across iPhone, iPad and Mac with upcoming operating system updates.
More details are expected to be revealed at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), usually held in June. The move comes after Apple delayed major Siri improvements to 2026 and faced criticism for its underwhelming “Apple Intelligence” rollout with the iPhone 16.
Meanwhile, fresh reports from The Information suggest Apple is also developing a new AI-powered wearable device, roughly the size of an AirTag. The wearable is expected to feature cameras, microphones, a speaker and wireless charging, with a possible launch in 2027.
Apple is also reportedly working on several other AI-driven products, including smart glasses, augmented reality devices, AI-enabled AirPods, a security camera, and a smart home hub with a rotating display.
