Srinagar : Today, Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) executed a proclamation order issued by the Hon’ble Court of the Additional Sessions Judge (Special Judge designated under the NIA Act), Srinagar. The order, issued under Section 82 of the Cr.PC, is directed against Showkat Ahmad Sheikh (alias Showkat Mochi), son of Gh. Nabi Sheikh and resident of Ganai Hamam, Baramulla. The accused is an absconder involved in case FIR No. 07/2023, currently registered at Police Station CIK.
During the course of the investigation, it was established that the accused was intentionally evading arrest and deliberately avoiding legal proceedings. Consequently, the Hon’ble Court initiated proclamation proceedings, directing the accused to appear before the court within a stipulated timeframe.
In compliance with judicial mandates, the CIK team executed the proclamation order today in strict accordance with all legal protocols. To ensure transparency and official record-keeping, the publication of the proclamation was both photographed and video-graphed.
The accused has been directed to surrender before the Hon’ble Court within 30 days from the date of this publication. Failure to comply will result in further legal consequences, including the attachment of property under Section 83 of the Cr.PC.
