CM Omar Abdullah Questions Outcome of ‘39-Day War’, Calls It ‘Unjust

Says ceasefire only reopens Strait of Hormuz that was already accessible before war

Srinagar, Apr 8: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday questioned the outcome of the recent conflict, terming it an “unjust war.”

In a post on X, CM Omar as pwr news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, said that the ceasefire merely allows reopening of a strait that was already accessible before the war began.

“So the ceasefire allows a strait to reopen, a strait that was open & freely available to everyone to use before the war started,” he wrote.

Raising concerns over the purpose of the conflict, he further questioned, “What exactly did this 39-day war achieve for the US?” while tagging the post with the hashtag #UnjustWar. (KNC)
