Srinagar, Jan 28: A CRPF jawan was found dead at the Headquarters of 44 Battalion CRPF at HMT Zainakote, officials said on Wednesday.
Officals told news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the deceased has been identified as HC (Carpenter) Hari Nath Ram of 44 Battalion CRPF. He was found lying unconscious on his bed inside the unit premises.
They said the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained. Proceedings under relevent sections of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) have been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
A police team has been deputed to the spot and further necessary action is underway, they added. (KNC)
