Delhi court awards life sentence to Kashmiri separatist Asiya Andrabi over terror activities

 

New Delhi: A Delhi court has sentenced Kashmiri separatist Asiya Andrabi to life imprisonment and two of her associates, Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen, to 30 years in prison each for running a terrorist organisation aimed at secession of Jammu and Kashmir from India.

They were convicted on January 14 under several sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and the penal section of criminal conspiracy, for waging war against the country. (HT)
