ANANTNAG: Scores of youth workers from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held a protest at Wazirbag here in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district today, staging a fierce demonstration against the ongoing outsourcing of local employment and recruitment processes.
Carrying placards and chanting high-pitched slogans, including “Don’t sell our jobs”, the protestors assembled at wazirbag, accusing the current National Conference-led administration of compromising the future of Jammu and Kashmir’s educated youth.
Our educated youth are running from pillar to post while local employment opportunities are being commercialized and outsourced. We will not allow the future of our youth to be traded away.” A local PDP Youth Leader addressing the gathering. Later the protest concluded peacefully
