Anantnag, Feb 26: Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-din Bhat, IAS, has formally taken over as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag following a recent administrative reshuffle ordered by the Jammu and Kashmir Government.
According to official orders issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Dr. Bhat, an AGMUT cadre IAS officer of the 2017 batch, has been transferred from his previous posting as Deputy Commissioner Budgam and posted as Deputy Commissioner Anantnag. Earlier, he also served in key administrative positions, including Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and Deputy Commissioner Kulgam.
Dr. Bhat assumed charge amid expectations of strengthening governance, enhancing administrative efficiency, and ensuring effective implementation of developmental and welfare schemes in the district.
Officials and staff of the district administration welcomed the new Deputy Commissioner and assured full cooperation in carrying forward developmental initiatives and public service delivery.(KNC)
