Anantnag: The education department in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district is facing a significant operational inertia as the post of Chief Education Officer (CEO) has remained vacant following the retirement of the previous officer.
The absence of a permanent head has brought several crucial administrative tasks to a standstill. Local residents and members of the teaching fraternity have expressed deep concern over the mounting issues,
“We are being pushed from pillar to post,” said a local resident. “Simple clearances used to take days, there is no one with the authority to sign off on them.”
Sources told Nationvoice101 that the lack of leadership is affecting the monitoring of academic standards across government schools, especially during the current academic session.
The people of Anantnag have made an urgent appeal to higher ups to intervene immediately. They are requesting the appointment of a dedicated and full-time Chief Education Officer to restore order and ensure that the future of thousands of students is not compromised by administrative gaps.
