Poonch, Jan 28 : The Indian Army along with the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) Poonch, on Wednesday safely destroyed an unexploded shell in Poonch district.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC said the shell had remained unexploded during Pakistan shelling in May 2025.
The controlled explosion was carried out today evening, in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), they said.
The shell was destroyed at a location far away from residential areas to ensure the safety of civilians. No damage or casualties were reported.
Authorities said the operation was conducted smoothly, and the area was secured during the disposal process. —(KNC)
