Pulwama, June 12: The Jammu Kashmir National Democratic Party (JKNDP) Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday visited the affected villages of Padgampora, Wandakhpora, Guripora and adjoining areas in Pulwama district to take stock of the situation concerning land related issues being faced by local farmers and residents.
The JKNDP delegation accompanied by members of its legal team interacted with affected families and listened to their concerns regarding their land and livelihood. The party expressed solidarity with the residents and assured them of every possible legal and democratic support.
Speaking during the visit JKNDP President Asif Nabi Dar said the party stands firmly with the people and will leave no stone unturned in protecting their rights.
“The concerns of farmers and landowners are genuine and deserve immediate attention. JKNDP will extend all legal assistance to the affected families and, if required pursue the matter before competent courts to ensure justice is delivered,” Asif said.
He stressed that matters involving land and livelihood should be handled with transparency, fairness and in accordance with the law, adding that people should not be subjected to uncertainty or hardship.
Asif urged the administration to address the concerns of the affected residents through dialogue and lawful measures. He said the party’s legal team would thoroughly examine all aspects of the issue and provide necessary guidance to the affected families.
The JKNDP President further appealed to all stakeholders to prioritize the welfare of the people and avoid politicising issues that directly impact the lives of hundreds of families.
“This is a matter concerning the future and livelihood of local residents. It requires a responsible approach and collective efforts to safeguard the rights and interests of the people,” he said.
The party reiterated its commitment to raising the issue at every appropriate platform and assured the residents of Padgampora, Wandakhpora, Guripora and surrounding villages that JKNDP will continue to stand by them in their pursuit of justice and protection of their lawful rights.
