Srinagar, Jan 21: Managing Director, National Health Mission (NHM) Jammu and Kashmir, Baseer Choudhary on Wednesday reviewed the finalisation of the NHM Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) for the financial year 2026–27, with a focus on strengthening key health interventions.
As per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC) that the review meeting focused on priority areas including the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Maternal and Child Health (MCH), Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) and Mental Health services.
During the review, the MD NHM emphasised the need for meticulous and evidence-based planning to ensure optimal utilisation of funds. He also stressed strengthening of supply chain mechanisms and improving service delivery to achieve national health targets.
Baseer Choudhary called for coordinated efforts across departments to address gaps, enhance outreach and ensure effective implementation of health programmes across Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in underserved and remote areas. (KNC)
