NEW DELHI, AUG 09 : Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said Operation Sindoor conveyed a clear and powerful message to the world that India would take every necessary step to safeguard its citizens and protect the dignity and honour of its women.
Addressing the ‘Sindoor Maharaktadan Yatra’ blood donation camp at Base Hospital in Delhi Cantonment, Singh praised the Indian Armed Forces for their courage and determination in carrying out operations against terrorists and their handlers across the border.
The Defence Minister said Operation Sindoor reflected the valour, capability and resolve of India’s armed forces, while demonstrating the country’s commitment to protecting its people from terrorism.
“Operation Sindoor sent a global message that India will go to any extent to ensure the safety of its citizens while protecting the sindoor worn by our women,” Singh said.
He asserted that those responsible for terror attacks, along with their handlers operating from Pakistan, had to face serious consequences for their actions.
Singh said the operation was not merely a military response but also a demonstration of India’s national resolve to combat terrorism and protect the lives and honour of its citizens.
The Defence Minister also paid tribute to the personnel of the armed forces for their sacrifice, bravery and dedication, saying their actions had once again demonstrated India’s ability to respond firmly to threats against the nation.
He said the message from Operation Sindoor was unequivocal: India remains committed to defending its citizens and will not hesitate to take decisive action against those who threaten the country’s security.(KNC)
